A Safe Space for Your Journey
Client wellbeing is at the heart of everything I do.
Hello, I’m Poppy. I am the owner of Chaphay Therapies & Wellbeing. I’m a fully qualified integrative counsellor and qualified holistic therapist working with clients aged 16 and over who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, isolation, trauma, relationship difficulties or questions around identity.
I’m a member of the BACP, hold an enhanced DBS, am registered with the ICO and insured. I am committed to working safely and ethically with clients, adhering to strict confidentiality.
Counselling sessions are available online UK-wide via an online platform or face-to-face in Ormskirk. Please note, from the end of 2026, face-to-face sessions will relocate just down the road to Burscough, West Lancashire. The new counselling premises will offer free, convenient parking and excellent public transport links for clients, including nearby bus routes and two train stations, with easy access to Southport, Wigan, Liverpool and Manchester.
Counselling sessions are available during the daytime, evenings, and on Saturday mornings.

My Integrative Counselling Approach
I believe counselling should recognise you as an individual, meeting you where you are and supporting you with what matters to you.
My approach is here to be collaborative and as gentle as it is effective, tailoring each session to your unique needs, grounded in warmth, acceptance and mutual respect.
With an understanding that we all experience different chapters in our lives, and no two people's experiences are the same. I work by drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches. We will explore your thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations and behaviours to deepen self-understanding, self-acceptance and resilience to support you through the complexities of life.
Life can be unpredictable. We can’t control every turn life takes, but we can choose our path. Sometimes the journey may feel like climbing a mountain, but each step we take brings us closer to where we want to be.
My aim is simple: to sit alongside you, providing a space where you feel heard, validated, and supported on your journey without judgements. Life can be complex and challenging, and understanding ourselves with kindness can help us navigate these experiences differently.

Who I Support
Counselling is for anyone who feels they could benefit from having a safe, private, supportive space to talk, share any problems, past or present and express your feelings and emotions.
I offer a warm, empathetic space for those feeling deflated, numb, flat, unheard, rushed or misunderstood, including people who spend much of their lives caring for others and are left wondering, "What about me?" I welcome those who have felt different or struggled to find a sense of belonging, as well as people who may appear to have it all together on the outside but feel very differently within.
Inner Resilience & Private Struggles
I work with clients who seem composed on the surface but handle heavy internal weights. I offer a space to process quiet struggles and the persistent emotional toll of managing chronic health concerns, body image worries, relationship issues, anxiety and life difficulties.
Supporting Parents & Carers
I offer a space for parents and carers who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, or simply stretched by the demands of caring for others. Together, we can make sense of what you're experiencing, explore the pressures you're carrying, and find ways to create more calm, clarity, and balance in your life.

Support For Pregnancy And New Motherhood
Pregnancy, becoming a mother and adjusting to life after birth can bring many emotional changes. I offer a space for expectant and new mothers to talk openly about how you're feeling, without judgement or pressure.
Counselling Support For Men, Particularly Those Working in Trades
I understand that working in the trades can be as tough on the mind as it is on the body. I offer a down-to-earth space where men in hands-on professions can talk openly about what's going on for them, including stress, burnout, pressures, relationship challenges or anything that comes up for you.
Transparent Fees
I believe in clear pricing so you always know what to expect.
